“Stame vizhin” was the expression Alvio Stramare used to express how important the people around him were.
He was a decisive, ironic man and in many ways he had an innate passion for what he did and communicated. But above all, he drank Valdobbiadene D.o.c.g. all the time; even when situations were not the best; always declaiming it as a drink of excellence.
It was with the passing of the knight Alvio Stramare that the Gemin family decided to bottle a Valdobbiadene D.o.c.g. limited edition, of the highest quality, dedicated precisely to Alvio Stramare. A wine with many similarities to the knight; a Valdobbiadene D.o.c.g. that is decisive, complex and at the same time with an excellent freshness that defies the passage of time.
The blend of this bottle contains predominantly Glera; harvested by hand, selected from the best vines and a small percentage of a historic indigenous vine that gives it that extra acidic streak. Re-fermentation takes place in the bottle with subsequent resting and ageing on the lees.
The peculiarity of this wine is that it is put on the market with its yeasts naturally inside.
The result is this Valdobbiadene D.o.c.g. on the lees, Cuvée Cavalier Alvio Stramare, an authentic expression of a superior territory.
